London Travels: Westminster & Buckingham

Last month I had the most amazing time in Europe starting off at the heart of London. I was lucky enough to be able to live with my relatives at Westminster which was such a strategic point to travel all around London easily. Many of the major sights were within walking distance such as Westminster Abbey, The House of Parliment, Buckingham palace and Big Ben (which was unfortunately unrecognisable due to construction work…oh what luck!).

Bag

I love carrying my Gucci soho disco bag when I travel as it is so incredibly lightweight and fits a lot of my essentials.  This little cute bag is deceivingly small. You will be surprised at how much you can fit in and yet it does not weigh down your shoulder. If you are looking for a fuss free bag that is versatile from day to night , look no further- this gucci soho will be right up your alley. I did do another blogpost on it if you like to see more outfit pairings for this bag here.

It was such a peaceful Monday morning exploring the beautiful grounds outside the Parliment. It was a bank holiday so the area was dead quiet and empty. Absolutely love having this place pretty much all to ourselves! If you plan to visit…sit back, relax, have a cuppa and enjoy  the pretty view of the London eye.

From Westminster, it is actually an easy 10 minute walk to Buckingham Palace. We decided to head there the next day as we were so incredibly jet lagged after our 24 hour flight from Sydney. This iconic place  is  a must  if you ever  visit London. If you have not noticed already,  I am never without my favourite Adidas Superstar sneakers. These babies are such a life saver for my feet as there is a ton of walking to do when you are travelling around London. You could wear it both with jeans or a dress and still look presentable. I often wear these shoes even to work whenever I can.  Definitely a great investment.

What I love about London is how awesome the public transport is; that is the London Underground. I basically used google maps on my phone and was able to navigate so easily without much hiccups. From Buckingham Palace , we made our way to Bicester Village. All you  have to do is to get on the Bakerloo Line from Green Park and get off  at the Baker Street Station. Then just walk towards Marylebone Station where you can catch the Chiltern  Railway line to Bicester (just purchase your ticket at the station) . If you want to know more about Bicester , check out my previous travel feature post on it here  and I ‘d love to hear your feedback about it. Until then , see you in my next post !
