Roundup favourites from Charlotte Tilbury

When it comes to makeup brands, I am extremely picky. It is very rare for me to enjoy so many products from just one particular brand. Therefore Charlotte Tilbury takes the crown. I was lucky enough to pick up some of her amazing products while travelling in the UK last month. Living in Australia , Charlotte tilbury is almost unheard of as there are no stores available here. However I was well aware of how hyped up this brand is on social media . Does it live up to the hype? I do think so, and let me tell you why.

Lipsticks and Lipliners

I am always all for MLBB colours. I have a very busy lifestyle (with little to no time for touch-ups) and I work in very conservative clinic setting. When the Lipcheat Pillow Talk lipliner took Youtube and Instagram by storm, I was curious to get onto the bandwagon and now I am hooked. I have been using this lip colour as a base for many of my current lipsticks and it goes with everything  as it has the prettiest pinky nude shade.

If you think that the Lipcheat Pillow Talk lipliner is pretty, guess what – Matte revolution lipstick in Pillow talk colour will swoon you off your feet. Well it did for me. I love how smooth and natural the colour looks without washing me out. I usually have pretty chapped sandpaper lips at the end of a tiring day but not with her lipstick range. Matte revolution is a little bit of a misnomer. It actually is really creamy and smooth with pretty long lasting finish when combined with the Lipcheat Pillow talk. The colour is very wearable , similar to a muted rose shade. Wear time is approximately around 5-6 hours and re-application may be necessary after a meal.

And because I love Pillow Talk so much, I had to pick up another colour. This one is called Stoned Rose and it is from her K.I.S.S.I.N.G line range. Also a perfect MLBB and it gives a lovely orangey rose shade to the lips with a more glossy finish. Apparently Charlotte Tilbury used this colour on Jennifer Aniston on the cover of Allure Magazine (just a disclaimer !:)) Both formulas are not drying for me and this is coming from someone who works 8 hours per day in a dry, air-conditioned room!

Contour palette

Filmstar Bronze and Glow

This sculpt and highlight palette from a best-seller range Filmstar Bronze and Glow is simply amazing. Look how glam the packaging is just as the name suggests. For any busy working women or busy mums out there who are time-poor and is in desperate need of a skin pick-me-up, this is the palette you need in your life. I have tanned , medium asian skin with yellow undertones and I find the light/medium contour palette is the perfect shade for me. The powders are so smooth and finely milled that it never clumps. I use the Zoeva lux face definer brush for the darker shade which works well for both contour and bronzing and the Zoeva lux sheer cheek brush to highlight and voila! Face makeup completed in under 2 minutes.

Eyeshadow Quad

Dolce Vita

Tried and tested . My pick out of all her beautiful eyeshadow quads is Dolce Vita. What sets this eyeshadow apart is the reddish bricktone colour on the top right. This colour is so unique. I love this for the crease area. There is great colour payoff and all the colours blend so well without much fall out at all. The colours are just so versatile for any skintone.  This item will be a permanent addition to my makeup travel bag from now on.

I’d love to try more products from Charlotte Tilbury in the future and really hoping Australia will see her store open at David Jones or retail outlets. In the mean time, all these products are available on the Charlotte Tilbury website. Scroll through my makeup collection below if you are interested to try these products. Until then, will see you next time and have a lovely weekend!
