As we approach towards the end of the month and the temperatures are starting to drop , I thought I might do a quick round up of my current fashion favourites for the month of April. Boy am I going to miss light flowy summer florals, cold shoulder tops and dresses.
It was pretty challenging trying to pick that one outfit for this post, partly because I have a tad too many dresses after going through a shopping frenzy phase for everything cold shoulder. There is just something about it that exudes femininity and subtle not-too-sexy look. Quite recently, I stumbled across this lovely asymmetrical summerdress (cold shoulder of course , from J.O.A ) on one of my all time favourite online websites- REVOLVE. For an added bonus, this gorgeous dress hides any “food baby” so easily, therefore making it so wearable and comfortable. Do remember REVOLVE does some pretty awesome sales from time to time and yes, you guessed it right- I bought this dress on sale as well.
My hands-down favourite bag for this season, would be my Balenciaga Metallic Edge City Bag. I got mine some time last year from Neiman Marcus and have no regrets so far! This bag is seriously a workhorse. Such a handy bag not only for travel and work but also for a casual days out. It transitions so well from day to night and I love how versatile it is. Whenever I invest in something , I always think about cost per wear and so far for this bag, has been insanely good. I do see myself still wearing it easily during the cooler, winter months as the colour is so easy to pair with any outfit.
If you need just one pair of comfortable strappy black high heels that you could walk in without sacrificing the health of your lower back and feet, I can think of none other than my trusty Saint Laurent Tribute 75 mm heels. . They are fuss-free and so easy to slip on and off. Every girl needs a good pair of strappy black heels like this.
Some days when I wake up with puffy eyes and cannot be bothered to apply any eye makeup , my best friend is definitely a pair of oversized sunglasses. It just elevates any look even during my scruffiest looking days. I also think it’s just good to get into the habit of wearing sunnies regularly as it does prevent the development of early cataract eye disease. If you can prevent something, why not start now ?
I adore these pair of Christian Dior Sunglasses which I picked up during the Christmas sales at the Waikiki outlets in Hawaii. Despite having a pretty flat Asian nose, thankfully these sunnies do not slide and they sit so comfortably on my face. It is pretty unique as they do have a pretty cool green leather lining on the side with a pink shade on the flipside of the handle.
What are your favourite things for the month of April ? I’d love to hear from you .
For Sydneysiders, flu season is almost here as the weather has started to become chilly…so make sure you keep warm and keep healthy!
